Infrequent Links of Intrigue and/or Interest
The Infrequent Links are going to take the place of what had been the “Super Happy Fun Time Friday” links I used to do. I’m just not reliable enough to post that regularly. The sad thing is that I’ve had some of these links saved in FF tabs so I wouldn’t forget to post them, athough some have been lost along the way. Today I’m cleaning house:
- hCard Creator - Build your contact info in hCard format the lazy way with this handy tool.
- Google Map Maker - is a service that allows you add or edit features, such as roads, businesses, parks, schools and more. Using Google Map Maker tools (see below), you can visually mark locations and add detailed information about these locations. Once you have submitted content, this information may be edited by other users or moderators. At a later time, this content may be published in Google Maps for others to see and use. Shares many features as Google Maps.
- The Ultimate Collection of Photoshop Actions - One of Smashing magazines “Ultimate” list series. Actions aren’t only great for saving time, but also for learning more about how to achieve different effects. Stepping through actions can be very enlightening.
- Lumens - Great lighting collections for your home
Sometimes It’s Like This in My Head

I’m almost afraid to admit that I haven’t found a blog so gratuitously entertaining to read, ever. It’s like my inner monologue after being awake for 3 days straight eating nothing but Allsorts. I must be living under a rock. Hipster Runoff? (note: not all posts are work-safe or for the kiddies)
“…it’s important to note that our global gas crunch has ruined things for this lil alt human accessory. As opposed to being driven to her Summer Enrichment Courses in a minivan with a DVD player, or a spacious Toyota Camry, she was forced to be chauffeured by her mom on a skateboard. You can see a bandage on her left leg which we can only assume was caused by an accident on the cobblestone roads of the netherworld in which she lives. I think it is good for free-spirited mothers to express themselves, but I don’t now how I feel about converting urself into a rickshaw to transport your kid. Have yall ever been poor? Remember when Jewel lived in a van?” [read the whole post]
Ok, I REALLY have to get some serious work done before bedtime.
