I get the feeling it is geared toward adult females because i would have to classify it as an historical, romantic comedy. The ratio of women to men is about 1 to 5, so you can only imagine. There are times that the main character, Shuuri, seems to run around flirting with the entire royal staff. Maybe Saiunkoku Monogatari isn’t a good candidate for top priority.
